Bilgewater Treatment

ABC's technology provides a breakthrough solution in the field of bilgewater treatment. The company's Accell® family of products break down hydrocarbon contaminants at the molecular level. Then they convert some of breakdown constituents, such as the fatty acids, into new surfactant like cleaning materials, further increasing their effectiveness. The ability to rapidly clean, breakdown and in some cases, bioconvert hydrocarbon based contaminants into safe and useful surfactant-like compounds, is unique to ABC.

This technology is particularly useful for small pleasure boats.

Case Study

During a recent independent laboratory test, ABC's Accell® Bilge Treatment was compared with one of the largest selling bilgewater treatment products for private pleasure craft. In summary, the conventional, caustic product with a pH of 11.5 when diluted, broke down or eliminated 67% of the contaminant in 48 hours. Accell® Bilge Cleaner, with a virtually neutral pH of 6.6 after dilution, eliminated 67% of the diesel contamination in 27 minutes and completely eliminated 100% of the diesel fuel in three and one-half hours. Though a laboratory test, it exhibits the tremendous difference in performance of Accell® versus conventional, highly alkaline cleaners, and the results scale up in large, real-life systems.
