Accell® Septic System Treatment (SST) can be added on an intermittent basis to a septic system to unclog drain lines, eliminate odors and reduce the number of times the system must be pumped out.
A typical home septic system requires a small dose of SST added to the system approximately once every week for four weeks, and then once per month to reduce, and in some cases, eliminate costly pump outs. In addition, SST will eliminate septic system odors.
Some septic systems over time get clogged with grease and biofilm reducing the effectiveness of the drainage piping. The addition of SST to the system will break down the existing grease and biofilm improving the drainage and reducing the number of pump outs necessary to keep the septic system functioning.
As with all P-SS™ (Protein-Surfactant Synergists™) based products from Advanced BioCatalytics, SST does not contain active bacteria or “enzymes.” Many septic system treatments described as “enzymes” actually contain live bacteria, where the special bacteria would spew the necessary enzymes.
There are plenty of bacteria in septic systems, but they all digest the nutrients/waste at a relatively slow pace. In addition, bacteria create biofilms. The addition of bacteria to a system that already has plenty of bacteria might accelerate the problem not the solution, by creating additional biofilm.
P-SS™ proteins substantially accelerate, not only the breakdown of the waste products that feed existing bacteria populations, but also act upon the bacteria to remove the biofilms. [Enhancing Metabolic Processes]
