Discovery Into Use
Advanced BioCatalytics Corporation (ABC) is an industrial biotechnology company focusing the Discovery of its Protein-Surfactant Synergists™ (P-SS™) based chemistry Into Use for cleaners, wastewater treatment, environmental remediation and other applications.
Advanced BioCatalytics Corporation was formed in 1996. In its initial years, the Company funded scientific research that resulted in a discovery of unknown biological effects that served the core of some of ABC’s major breakthrough technologies. This further led to breakthroughs in the surfactant synergies technology which became apparent after extensive analyses. The company continues to maintain an active research program in its in-house laboratories and through collaboration with other institutions and organizations.
P-SS™ creates new paradigms in green chemistry by improving chemical performance and replacing traditional chemistries that are harmful to the user and the environment. ABC bridges the traditionally higher cost of "green" technology by offering lower cost products that perform as well as, and in many cases outperform, traditional technologies.
Keeps on Working
A key distinguishing feature of P-SS™ technology is that it synergizes both surface activity of synthetic chemicals with biological effects due to the presence of certain proteins. For example, when using our cleaners, the wastewater treatment process begins at the point of use and keeps on working after it is flushed down the drain into the sewer or septic system. In this way the P-SS™ technology does what no other current product or technology is capable of achieving...
Recycling of waste is now a part of everyday life for most people. What many people might not be aware of, however, are the costs associated with what goes down our drains. Contaminants that are cleaned and sent down the drain, such as cooking oils, food residue, etc., leave a "carbon footprint" regarding the energy used to support the biological degradation process they go through at the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). Further, all soaps, in spite of how "green" they might be, leave carbon footprints.
By accelerating the biodegradation process, P-SS™ significantly reduces the energy used, reducing the carbon footprint, and overall operating costs of processing the used water by essentially treating it before it even reaches the plant.
The existing sewer line becomes an upstream extension of the wastewater treatment plant. The benefits are achieved at a net reduction in operating costs for the plant, saving the community money and energy, and would essentially add capacity without the need for capital investment.
