    C.O.D.E. Cleaning/Degreasing Applications

What about the safety of cleaners and degreasers?
  • Alkaline degreasers have a high pH, typically above 10, which can be hazardous to the eyes, skin and fabric when splashed or spilled.

  • Solvent based degreasers, such as "citric" based products have d-limonene (generically termed a terpene), and "butyl" cleaners with 2-butoxyethanol and similar compounds, can be hazardous to both the user and the environment.

  • Cleaners with the C.O.D.E. inside are safe to the user and the environment and can be used in food contact applications.
